JobDescription
The Senior Data Engineer will be a key part of theData Science and Analytics department within OSRAM. Your main responsibilitieswill include automating data pipelines for cleaning, transforming, andaggregating data from multiple data sources as well as creating and maintainingrelational databases. You will collaborate with data scientists to buildscalable solutions for data acquisition and storage to enable data scienceprojects to move quickly.
Bachelor'sDegree in a technical field like Math, Statistics, Computer Science, DataScience, Artificial Intelligence, Engineering, Operations Research, or Physics orrelevant work experience
Atleast 3 years of experience working within a corporation or consumer-focusedenvironment
Extensiveexperience developing enterprise applications and API's
Hands-onexperience in developing and implementing large and fast data platforms
Experiencein designing and deploying enterprise data solutions and knowledge of datamodeling approaches
Experiencescaling production databases with query indexing, optimization, and performancetuning
Experiencewith analytics, optimization, and machine learning techniques
Experiencewith SQL, Python, Hadoop, Spark, MS Azure, Linux/Unix, Bash, and Java
Experiencewith HTML and JavaScript is preferred
Experiencein software development
Experiencewith agile methodology and project management
Excellentoral and written communication skills
Willingnessto travel regionally and globally as needed


Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
