Solutions Engineer II (OCR Automation)

We have an immediate opening for this key role in our Professional Services group. As a Solutions Engineer II (OCR Automation), you will perform a number of roles in the implementation of ScerIS solutions that are primarily focused on developing and implementing solutions that leveraging OCR technology using both third party products, as well as, our own software. These custom solutions are tailored to the specific needs of the client. A thorough understanding of requirements gathering, business principles and technical skills is required to be successful in this role.

Key Responsibilities
Assists with identification and documentation of business and technical needs and objectives, primarily in accounts payable automation and similar financial solutions. Work with both technical and non-technical resources in order to design a complete solution.
Conceptualize, design, test and implement a variety of manual and automated data verification processes of printed and handwritten forms using OCR products.
Provide both in-person and remote (web-based) training on the solution to technical and non-technical audiences.
Assists with maintaining specifications, configuration documentation and other project documentation
Install and configure ScerIS software and databases
Provide technical support use of the solutions

Experience Required
Understanding\experience with batch based information processing
Experience with ETL (extract, transform, load): Importing information from outside sources
Knowledge of Windows Server 2003\2008\2012
Server installation
File system\Shares\Permissions\Active directory accounts
Basic server maintenance
IIS familiarity
Knowledge of SQL Server 2008\2012\2014 including:
Basic query construction using SQL Server Management Studio
Database management (back up, restore, maintenance)

Experience Desired
Experience working on implementing technology based projects with finance organizations.
Experience using an OCR products (ie Captiva, ReadSoft, AnyDoc).
Familiarity with remote support solutions (RDP, GoToAssist, Webex, etc.).
More in-depth knowledge of SQL Server 2008\2012\2014 including:
SQL Scripting (basic to advanced)
SQL Jobs
Database Mail
Creating\testing\implementing SSIS packages
Installing\configuring Reporting Services, including authoring reports

Bachelor's Degree in a business or technical field

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
